RV Hardware
RV hardware items can be placed under categories; RV keys, RV screws, RV skid rollers, RV Tools and RV assist handles. As you can see, the naming conventions used here define the nature of items put under a particular category. It is important to note that RV hardware items improve the overall experience of RVing by conveniently easing a number of tasks that include opening windows and doors, repairing the RV, and installing appliances.
RV assist handles : The assist handles ease entry and exit into your RV. In this category, expect an extensive range of handles that come in various sizes, colors, and designs. The quality and grip of a handle will depend on the material used to make it. For instance, you expect better quality and longevity from a stainless steel handle than you would from one made out of plastic. The core reason why you need a custom handle is to enter and exit your RV easily, safely and conveniently and so, be wise with your selection.
RV keys: If you recently acquired a recreational vehicle and do not feel very comfortable with its security features, begin by changing its lock and keys. The lock to your RV is especially important if you are going to use it for camping excursions. When you go hiking, all your electronics, provisions, and other items are going to be left in it and you obviously wouldn’t like to find them missing. You can also find replacement RV keys if you misplace your originals.
RV screws: RV screws have numerous applications which rotate around securing your equipment on walls. For example, you will need screws to install your stereo and its accompanying speakers. You should be careful to note that screws intended for recreational vehicle applications are specially designed to endure roughness and are therefore a bit costly than conventional types. A few types you will be choosing from include self-drilling screws, pan square head screws and washer square head screws. As the name suggests, Self-drilling screws are designed to self-drill into wooden surfaces. If you are keen on interior décor, consider polar white pan head screws; they come with colored heads to match those of your RV’s equipment and surfaces hence making them invisible after installation.
RV Skid Rollers: Skid rollers or wheels will come in handy if you are having a dragging problem. Their role is to prevent the vehicle from dragging and especially when you need to pull out of a driveway that has a steep incline. They lift the rear of the RV’s trailer and consequently roll it forward instead of letting it come into contact with a driveway. Note that they are only necessary if the rear bumper of your RV keeps on dragging. If you won’t like them, you can alternatively install what they call a 5th wheel in RVing circles.
RV tools: The RV tools category covers an extensive range of products. Mostly, tools are associated with screwdrivers and spanners. You will need them to secure your equipment with screws or when you need to repair an appliance. It is commonly known that people who take an interest in RVing are naturally adventurous and consequently like doing things by themselves. If you belong with these realms, make sure you have everything you need to troubleshoot problems and improve your vehicle by adding new gadgets. Do not wait until you need a tool, anticipate and get everything in advance.
