RV Lighting
RV lights exist in six different types namely LED Light bulbs, standard light bulbs, Interior light, outdoor lights, and utility & flashlights. LED light bulbs are efficient eco-friendly bulbs available in boat-shaped designs, color-changing strips, and double pin designs. Standard light bulbs are a combination of interior and exterior RV Light bulbs that are relatively cheaper compared to LED bulbs.
Examples include fluorescent bulbs, vanity clear bulbs, frost clear bulbs and double-pack wedge replacement bulbs. Interior RV lights are lights used inside the RV and examples include the Euro style dome bulbs, progressive dynamic bulbs and bunk lights. Outdoor lights also known as exterior RV lights are lights used outside the RV mainly for decorative and functional purposes. Examples of outdoor lights include search lights, lanterns, and awning lights. Utility and flashlights are lights that are mostly hand-held or worn on the body using holders and straps to help campers be visibility at night. Examples include handheld lanterns, head lamps, and motion activated lamps.
Interior RV lights have over the years transformed from inefficient bulbs with a poor lighting accessories that heat up very quick to heaven-sent LED bulbs which save on power and work at optimum level. LED stands for Light-emitting diode, these are bulbs that produce optimal light without Bulbs that heat up are especially dangerous for kids and even adults as they may cause a second degree burn. However, LED bulbs meant for the interior of the RV are built in a way that it focuses the energy directed towards it for the purpose of lighting and not so much on heating thereby ensuring that it remains cool enough to touch even after hours and hours of lighting. LED bulbs meant for interiors are also well-known energy savers and this is an advantage to campers who are into boon docking. Sometimes during camping you may not be in touch with a reliable source of power hence the need to conserve the readily available and little energy in store. One major merit of these types of bulbs is that they match the ambiance of your trailer just as you want it. There are those that are meant to be dim, bright, colorful among many other choices available.
Exterior RV lights are mainly used for functions, parties, gatherings or even bonfires that are held outside the RV. In addition, exterior lights maybe for decorative purposes for instance during festive seasons, a camper may feel the need to decorate his or her trailer with lights, in such a case they will go for exterior reflective light. Due to their functional and decorative purposes, they are usually conspicuous, energy-guzzling and sometimes colored depending on the preferences of the camper.
RV light bulbs all poses lumens. Lumens are a scale indicating just how bright an LED bulb can be perceived to be bright by the naked eye. This helps during purchase so that you may thoughtfully choose the right bulb for you be it a romantic dinner in the trailer, a book club session with your friends or a movie-theater kind of atmosphere where one can comfortably sit and enjoy a movie after a long day of camping. Having the right amount of light is the key to a full and fruitful experience in your RV. RV light bulbs also poses a color temperature that is usually indicated in kelvin and symbolized by a capital K. According to the scale, the hottest temperatures are those in color blue while the coldest parts are bright reddish yellow. Another amazing feature of RV light bulbs is that they have an exponential opening and voltage regulation system, meaning they are sensitive to voltage hence when exposed to even small amounts of electricity, they produce large amounts of lights. This is an added advantage since you will be saving energy while getting the optimum levels one can possibly derive from the little electricity available.
